Not thought of an important part of the post-production side of a movie, the screening room provides valuable information about the quality of a movie. The way a movie is displayed on the "big screen" cannot be judged until it is actually displayed on the big screen. The sound, picture quality, etc. are all part of the movie experience. IProductions will build the most advanced Screening room to date.

The screening room will use either DLP projectors from Texas Instruments (TI) or Christie of D-ILA technology from JVC. Soon these projection systems will be able to project 2K resolution images.

Another key element is surround sound technology that rivals the mega theater including spatialization, where each seat in the theater is the "sweet" spot.

With the newest Digital Projection system, the screening room will give the viewers and critics, the true movie experience.

Rick McCallum as noted in Millimeter Magazine hopes the move to digital projectors will begin to show up in movie houses around the country. He notes that 37 TI projectors are installed in theater in the US and hopes to have 250-500 installed by 2002 when Episode II is released.  George Lucas's vision of 5,000 projectors is the best idea to insure that every moviegoer can enjoy the best movie experience.
