Film Scanning / Recording

The biggest revolution in digital film making is removing the needed process of developing negatives and scanning them in order to manipulate them in a non-linear system and then having to put the  digital imagery back onto film.

With the use of digital cameras, the process of negative processing is eliminated.  With the cost of developing 1.5 million feet of film around 2 million dollars, being able to eliminate it saves both time an money.

With digital filming, you can have input of raw footage into the non-linear editing system in a matter of hours not days.

iProductions will have one HD film scanner and recorder available.

Although the digital revolution is coming, we still have to meet the needs of being able to create prints for showing in existing movie houses. These legacy systems ensure that we will still be compatible by being able to show our own productions with conventional film projector equipment at the same time setting up an infrastructure that will support true digital film making from production to distribution and final showing.
