Compositing
The ability to combine real-world footage and the animated
world has changed the movie-making industry forever. The seamless way
that we change, alter, modify and manipulate the way we see the
real-world through film is what makes the movie experience
breathtaking.

Compositing
is where different elements of a shot are filmed separately and then
later pieced together into one final composite shot. There are many
reasons for filming the elements separately. If the script calls for a
complex shot with many different things happening in the shot, if only
one of those things goes wrong while filming ,the whole shot is ruined
and the filmmakers must start over. Other times, compositing is
necessary to create shots that would be too difficult, too dangerous,
too expensive, or simply impossible to film all the elements together.
iProductions
plans to use Shake 2.2
for compositing shots. Utilizing approximately 40 computers, the
compositing will encompass 1920 sq. ft. of space. We will be
able to produce true to life images that the audience will swear are real.
Shake™
is a high speed compositing software that can be used for large image
resolutions, yet without the need for specialized hardware. Designed
for quality, speed and efficiency, it has been quickly embraced by
experienced users as a faster solution to process and manipulate high
volumes of large images while maintaining the greatest degree of
quality.
